Drift down to Insadong for craft shops, galleries and tea houses at an easy evening pace. Keep dinner and street browsing flexible rather than adding another timed entry after the palace morning.
Day 2
Start in Myeongdong for cosmetics streets, neon signs and quick street-food bites before crowds peak. Keep this block light—you will climb Namsan later, not hop across town for a second major ticket first.
Head up Namsan to N Seoul Tower views—cable car or bus one way is fine if you want a single paid lift ticket, but walking the forest paths works too. Treat this as your one observatory-style stop; skip stacking Lotte World Tower the same afternoon.
Finish in Hongdae for buskers, indie shops and casual dinner. Leave the evening open for live music and café hops instead of another rooftop reservation.
Day 3
Begin at Gwangjang Market early for bindaetteok, mayak gimbap and market counters while stalls are lively. One market morning only—save Dongdaemun wholesale halls for another trip if you are tight on time.
Follow the Cheonggyecheon stream path downtown for a flat midday reset between glass towers and restored waterways. Stay along the stream rather than doubling back to Jongno palaces.
End at a Hangang park stretch—Yeouido, Banpo or near your base—for river breezes, convenience-store picnics and skyline views. Keep plans flexible for sunset timing and an easy subway back.
